Privacy Policy
Effective September 6, 2026
Who we are and what this policy covers
BearGorilla is operated by Garrett Baker. This policy explains how we handle personal information through beargorilla.com, project inquiries, and our business communications. Contact contact@beargorilla.com with privacy questions or requests.
When we configure or support a client’s website or customer-management tools, that client is responsible for explaining its own information practices and obtaining appropriate permissions from its customers. We handle information in those systems to provide the agreed services under the client’s instructions and agreement. This policy does not replace a client’s privacy policy.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: your name, email address, business name, services, service area, project timing, website needs, and message. You may also provide a phone number, current website, package interest, and billing preference.
- Business records: correspondence, proposals, agreements, project materials, approvals, and records needed to deliver and support your services.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages, and security or error information processed by our hosting, security, and analytics providers.
- Communication preferences: subscription choices, consent records, and opt-out requests you provide when a messaging program is available.
Please do not put passwords, payment-card details, sensitive personal information, or customer lists into the public project inquiry form. Any access needed for client work is arranged separately.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, discuss project fit, prepare proposals, deliver and support agreed services, maintain business records, protect the website, troubleshoot problems, and understand website use. We also use communication preferences to manage subscriptions and honor opt-out requests.
Submitting a project inquiry lets us respond about that inquiry. It does not enroll you in an automated text-message program or serve as consent to promotional texts. When we offer promotional email or text subscriptions, the sign-up explains the messages and asks for the appropriate separate permission.
Service providers and disclosures
The website uses Cloudflare for hosting and security. Where Turnstile is enabled, a challenge token and IP address are sent to Cloudflare to verify a submission. Mailgun delivers project inquiries to our business inbox. After successful delivery, the contact flow also adds your first name and email address to a Kit (formerly ConvertKit) form for contact management and email follow-up.
When included in an agreed service, HighLevel and its connected providers may support customer records, forms, call-and-text tools, appointments, and follow-up workflows. The information involved depends on the tools and connections actually configured. We provide information to service providers as needed for those functions, rather than for their unrelated marketing.
We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, to protect people or our legal rights, or at your direction. We do not sell or rent project inquiry information.
Mobile information and SMS consent: we do not give mobile numbers or related mobile information to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotions. SMS opt-in records and consent are not sold, rented, or shared for another party’s messaging program. Providers assisting with message delivery or customer support may process the information only to perform those services for us.
Cookies and analytics
Hosting and security services may use cookies or similar technologies to keep the website working and prevent abuse. When Google Analytics is enabled, it can use cookies and collect information about pages, devices, and website usage. Our form-success analytics event does not include the submitted name, email address, phone number, or message.
You can manage or delete cookies in your browser; blocking some technologies may affect site features. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These browser controls do not unsubscribe you from email or text messages.
More information is available in Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy information, Kit’s privacy policy, and Google’s information about partner sites.
Your communication choices
You can ask us to stop optional email follow-up by replying or emailing contact@beargorilla.com. Promotional emails include an unsubscribe option. We may still send communications necessary for an active project, billing, security, or a request you make.
If you separately join a BearGorilla SMS program when one is available, you can reply STOP to the sending number to unsubscribe and HELP for assistance, or email us. The text messaging terms explain those choices. Providing a phone number in the current inquiry form alone does not subscribe you.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including inquiry follow-up, service delivery, accounting, legal obligations, and resolving disputes. The appropriate period depends on the record and our relationship with you. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to required retention and backup cycles. Limited opt-out records may be kept to ensure we respect your communication choices.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information involved. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us if you believe information has been exposed or used improperly.
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy protections can differ by location; we do not represent that all processing stays in your state or country.
Privacy requests
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent. Send a request to contact@beargorilla.com and describe the information or interaction involved. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will handle requests within applicable legal requirements and explain if we must retain information or cannot fulfill a request.
If your information was collected by one of our clients, contact that business first. We can assist that client as appropriate to our role. You may also contact your applicable privacy regulator about a concern.
Children and other websites
Our website and services are intended for business users, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child supplied information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Those websites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not control.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as our services and information practices change. The effective date identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before applying a material change.
